The World's Biggest Cardigan

I am enchanted by this video of my artist friend Jane Cummins making a huge wooden button for the world's biggest cardigan.  See video.  Jane is a fantastic woodturner and feltmaker, and lives just down the road from me.  The giant cardigan project was conceived by Jean Westbrook for Barnaby weekend, Macclesfield's summer arts festival on the 18-20 June 2010.  You can see the team laying out the cardigan for making up in the image on the left.  The town's inhabitants have contributed many knitted and crocheted squares for Jean to make up into this enormous cardy, which they are hoping will make it into the Guinness book of Records, and Granda Tonight!  It can be seen during the festival at St Michael's Church in the town centre.
