Sometimes it doesn't go well

Sometimes things come together and sometimes they do not. Tiresome, tiresome, tiresome...

I was attempting to capture something of the magic of Gunter Grass' The Tin Drum and Oskar's Singshattering. 

I wanted to invite the viewer to break the rules by reaching inside the glass case and grabbing the contents. The trouble is, these just look like sweet-storage boxes, not glass cases that are designed to prevent you from accessing what's behind.

I'll take a break and look again later.

Maybe these need to be smaller, or should have single items inside?

Maybe jewellery or covetable items rather than sweets?  More work needed....................
