Amanda Simmons and the birds

Lovely work from Amanda Simmons who has set herself the challenge of working with colours she doesn't like.  She has developed an - erm -  glorified bird table.  I think this is just an experiment (the bird table I mean), and the vessels will find their way to being vessels in the long run. Check it out.  I've blogged before about how I admire Amanda's sharp design in a sector of the market where design can be limp, or the prices too low.  Amanda gets it about right. This is just another example of how she keeps herself on her toes.

  1. Thanks Victoria...It was a fun project but one where I was challenging my stale (to me) colour choices and I wanted to be inspired by my wee garden visitors. I did enjoy building the table too from recycled bullseye crates which also saved me from grinding the bottom of the vessels.
    Cheers
    Amanda
