Rill
A morning of tinkering. I've been messing around with bits of cut glass stringer in various colours. I wanted to see how the glass behaves when it is placed in different vessels and allowed to fall in different ways. Not all of it is enlightening. The light blue shows promise, the light green is boring and the amber is horrid. However the fine Plowden and Thompson glass stringer had a nice animal quality.
What to do with all this though? I'd like to play on the movement of the glass and its weird collective behaviour. A rough sketch (see image) of something I've nominally called 'Rill' might work. Would be great to see it running across the floor. Set in stainless steel? Who knows, pie in the sky perhaps.
