The Complete Bookmaker with Lucy May Schofield

My first class on the Complete Bookmaker course with Lucy May Schofield last night.  What a great time! Bookmaking is new to me, and it seems like a perfect way to bridge the gap between ideas and form that often tax me in glass-making.  It also highlights the spare beauty of words:

... from an exercise Lucy did with postcards.  Who knows how this will go - don't know what I'll do with it - but so far, so good.  Very pleased with my first book (see image) - a pamphlet that will be used to make notes for the rest of the course.  The class is at the fabulous Hotbed Press in Manchester, which hold regular courses.
